The season started last weekend and on Saturday our Division 5 Minor team travelled to Ballymun and came away with a fantastic 3-3 to 1-1 victory. This is the first time in the club's history that we have had two minor teams, so well done everybody. On Sunday the U14 Division 1 team played out a thriller against Lucan Sarsfields, but lost by the narrowest of margins. The U16 and U12 games fell foul to the weather, so these teams must wait another week to start their season. The club rolled out its on-line membership last week. CONLON Cup: St Maur's 1-7, Round Towers Lusk 0-11. Minor Football League: Skerries Harps 5-6, St Maur's 0-2. The U10 girls played a camogie blitz today in Naomh Mearnóg, in bitterly cold conditions. One of the teams won all three games and the other team won one, drew one and lost one by a single point. U10s boys played two great matches today against Man-O-War. Maur's maroon played the first half into the wind and were behind by a few points at half-time. But with the advantage in the second half, fought hard to win the match. Great display by Josh Larkin, Jake White, Kelly Brothers and Senan Groome. Maur's Gold played a strong Man-O-War side, but outstanding team play by Maur's secured the win. Especially Sam Quinn, Luke Clare, Shane Butterly and Reece Price. Rain, hail, sleet & snow. A very cold morning for the U11 girls' first camogie fixture for 2015 in Phoenix Park. We played 2 teams from St Oliver Plunkett's, losing 4-0 in the first game and 2-1 in the second game. Credit to all girls for battling on (and also to the parents on the sideline). Well done to U11 team for impressive comeback in Bohernabreena Saturday. While second team were well beaten. St Maur's U12A were well-beaten today by a both physically & technically stronger Parnell's side, who will be a Division 1 side. Maur's had a slow start and let in four quick goals and it was a battle from there. Maur's had not scored in the first half, so after a stern talking at half-time to rouse the troops, they responded better in the second half and were only outscored by 0-9 to 0-7 in the second half. Positives on the day was a Man of the Match display from Keith Lockman.

CONGRATULATIONS to ladies football star and former Dublin captain Denise Masterson and Joey McGurk, who got married recently. We had another impressive weekend on the playing pitches. Our senior hurlers defeated St Sylvester's, while the U16 team had an impressive win over St Brigid's and the U14 lads defeated Fingallians. Our camogie girls were very busy also with wins for the U9, 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16 teams. The U15 ladies football team also won their first league game to start their season on a positive note. YES O'Toole's are proud of Mikey, Kate and the others on the Dublin squad, but we are also proud as punch of the unnamed. The stalwarts who turn out week in, week out, win, lose or draw for training and matches. These players are the mainstay of our great club and we appreciate them 100%. The girls are back in action and our super U13s started where they left off as 12s last season, with a tremendous win. The girls were over 4 goals victorious over a strong Clontarf side in cold and blustery conditions. Practice makes perfect was the order of the day when our U9s played away to the mighty Castleknock on Saturday. The lads played with immense spirit, scoring points and goals for fun. There was a good performance from our U16 hurlers despite defeat, with great endeavour from the lads, but in particular Oisín Nolan & Thomas Boylan. Well done to all our teams that participated in games over the weekend. This Saturday night for your entertainment in our friendly lounge it's the ever-popular 'Run For Cover'. This week the Jackpot will be a cool €1,900.

Go ndeanfhaidh Dia trocaire ar a anam. U12 footballers had a good win on Saturday v St Maur's. Best on the day were Thomas Redmond, Alex Wylders and Cian Smith. U14 hurlers had a great win away to Erin's Isle, winning on a scoreline of 4-3 to 1-5 to get their season off to a great start. Everyone played their part in a great team performance, especially our captain Craig Canyard and Dylan Russell, who led from the front with impressive displays in midfield and full-back. U15 hurlers beat Naomh Fionnbarra 7-5 to 1-2. Adam McGuirk, Sean Smaills and Luke Brennan all had great games. Our first underage camogie team at Parnell's, U10s, went out on Saturday. Excellent performance from the girls. They had two draws with Na Fianna and 1 loss to Kevin's. Well done all. On Mother's Day, Sunday 15th March. All the players received their medals on Saturday morning and thank you to Donna, Janice and Linda who stayed on to supply the parents with coffee and tea. Well done to our minors, who had a good win over Na Fianna on Sunday morning. Hard luck to our Dublin senior footballers, who were defeated by Kerry on Sunday, but it was great to see a Raheny man on the pitch. Well done Brian Fenton. U14 hurlers had a great start to their league. They enjoyed a comprehensive win over St Brigid's. St Brigid's were short some key players, but managed to win the first half. Raheny well won the second half, using the wind to great advantage. Great to see Tadgh and Cormac make their hurling debuts. Well done all.
