WELL done to St Peter's minor team, who played their last game of the season at home and were victorious over Clontarf (B) in Championship. Thanks to Gerry Seaver and Brian Kiely for their commitment to training and managing these lads all year. Hard luck to U21 Ballyboughal team, who played 1st Championship match but lost to a stronger Naomh Mearnog team. Hard luck also to both the U11 St Peter's boys team, who lost to Na Dubh Ghall and U10 boys' two teams, who lost to O'Dwyers - the teams braving the elements on a very wet morning in Ballyboughal. Dinner dance/Awards night will take place in Ashbourne House Hotel on Saturday 29th November. Annual Juvenile Christmas/Santa party will take place in National School, Sunday 14th December.

THIS week saw a lot of our teams in action, but the hero of the week goes to Harry Hughes, who was exceptional in our u11s games against St Pat's. Take a bow Harry, you are our hero of the week. Well done. Congrats also to the rest of the U11s, Harry was joined in great performances by Robert O'Brien and Craig Murray. Our U14s had a massive win in the cup semi-final, with great performances by Evan Rowley, Andrew McCaul and a five-goal salvo from Eoghan Flanagan. Please keep an eye out for the final fixture. Our U15s will play Kilmacud Crokes in the Final of the John Roche Tournament, please keep an eye out on our social media for the fixture date and time. Hard luck to our senior footballers, who were beaten by St Maur's in the league semi-final, and congrats and best wishes to Maur's in the Final. THE club would like to express our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Lynsey Flood, who tragically lost her life on Friday 7th November. Lynsey was the Castleknock GAA Ladies Football Manager for the last year and has played with the club all through her juvenile years from the foundation of the club. Lynsey also represented the club at county level playing for Dublin. Lynsey was a brilliant character, generous, determined and a great influence on the girls she coached to both league and cup victory this year. Lynsey had made a massive contribution to our community and we will miss her deeply. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends at this time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílís.
CLANNA GAEL FONTENOY
YET again some great games took place over the last week and, while it's really all about participation, the victories are sweet when they occur. None more so than for our U12 footballers, who had a very comprehensive win away to Parnell's to capture the Division 4 League title on Saturday morning. Well done to the players and team mentors. It was straight from there to Sligo for a planned break; and there was plenty of singing on that bus journey by players and adults alike. The other stand-out victory was our minor footballers, who had a great 1-10 to 0-10 win over St Pat's in the Championship - congratulations to all concerned. There's also been plenty of good activity off the field of play with the opening of the club's new coffee shop, whose volunteers have undergone special barista training in order to bring only the best of coffee and service on Saturday mornings and on other special occasions. Also, a new Le Cheile Coach Support Programme will be up and running shortly in the club. Designed to provide team coaches with any additional information or extra knowledge they require, the programme will consist of workshops every 4-6 weeks which will cover a range of topics based on the challenges coaches face. Participants will be challenged with setting goals to improve their coaching practice, taking on board the task of reflecting on their coaching manner and style and progressing this to ensure they are getting the most from their team and that their team are getting the most from them. The following numbers drawn on the 4th November did not produce a Club Lotto winner - Jackpot A for €10,000: 3-11-12-30; and Jackpot B for €3,600: 1-3-4-17. Next week's Jackpots are €10,000 (A) and €3,800 (B).
TOTW is our U13A footballers, winning their play-off match against St Margaret's to reach the Division 2 Final. Heroes all but we single out Matthew McMahon, Adam Beatty, Alex Cooke and Kevin Byrne for special mention. Our Junior A hurlers emerged victorious in their penultimate league game against Raheny on Sunday. This play-off victory has earned the lads a winner takes all showdown with Kilmacud Crokes next week to decide who gains promotion to Division 4. We look forward to a good day out. Well done lads. Commiserations to our Junior B hurlers, just coming up short against Lucan in a top-4 play-off semi-final. Our minor footballers lost out to Fingallians by the narrowest of margins in the B Championship, in what was truly a great sporting spectacle. Commiserations to our ladies minors, losing out by only a few points against Na Fianna in the Division 3 Championship Final. The club extends its sincere sympathy to senior footballer Ian Smith on the death of his father Maurice last week. To his wife Mary, son David, daughter Pamela and extended family we offer our condolences. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Juvenile subs are now overdue and must be paid immediately. Forms can be downloaded on our website. There was no winner of this week's Lotto. The numbers drawn were 2-11-18-32. The weekly winners were Ruth Kyne and Fionnuala MacNamee. Next week's Jackpot is now worth €5,900. Play the Lotto now and support your club on www.clontarfgaa.com.

The Club Executive and the Spratt Family would like to thank all those members and friends that assisted in any way to the beautiful and moving ceremony for Paddy last Tuesday. A special word of thanks to Club Chairman Aidan O'Toole and Fr John Ennis. Paddy was a stalwart of club and schools for most of his young life and recently became a juvenile team sponsor. He was a gifted and natural hurler and footballer and will be sadly missed. To his family and friends, we offer our sincere condolences. We also send our condolences to Dave Smith, our Adult Football Team selector, on the sad passing of his father. May he Rest In Peace. It is fitting to note that the Annual Club Mass for all our deceased members, friends and supporters will be celebrated by Fr John Ennis in the Club Gym on Wednesday 19th November at 8pm.

CHRISTMAS Fair returns again this year and always this is a great club day and great event to be involved in. Details are as follows; Christmas Fair is on Sunday the 30th of November. We are looking for donations of all household items, unwanted gifts, books, CDs, spot prizes, electrical items etc. We are having two collection days, Saturday the 22nd and Saturday the 29th of November from 12pm-3pm in the clubhouse. All donations welcomed. During the week, the club finally got the keys of the new dressing rooms in Pearse Park. This has been top of the club objectives for nearly two decades, so to finally get the changing facilities our club deserves has been a huge relief. The new dressing rooms are state of the art and will be able to accommodate Juvenile, Ladies and Adult men at the same time. So we are asking all members to respect the dressing rooms and clean up after them. Maurice Kerrigan is also asking any members who had keys for the old dressing rooms to please return their keys. Congratulations to our senior hurlers, who put in a fine display to dispatch Kilmacud Crokes and reach the Final of the AHL2 play-off. We hope that will be played this Sunday in the park, but no confirmation of this as of yet, so please keep an eye on the website. Crumlin GAA would like to thank Brenda Kiernan, the parents and all their helpers who ran a very successful bag pack on Saturday in Super Valu Sundrive. I also want to thank Super Valu for their continued support. Christmas Draw raffle tickets are now on sale from behind the bar or Maurice Kerrigan. Top prize is €2,000 with second prize a nice €1,000.
THE terrible weather on Saturday played havoc with the fixtures over the weekend with many games, including the U21 footballers' Championship match against Ballyboden on Saturday, being cancelled due to flooded pitches. One of the fixtures that did go ahead was the AHL1 match between Cuala and Kilmacud Crokes. Sadly, Cuala lost a hard-fought match by 2-11 to 1-17. Hard luck to the minor footballers, who lost their A Championship match with Kilmacud on Sunday by 1-14 to 1-11. There was better news for the 2nd minor football team, who had a fantastic win over St Patrick's in Hyde Park last Sunday in the D Championship. The final score was Cuala 5-21, St Patrick's 2-8. Good luck to the U21 hurlers, who face Lucan Sarsfields in 12th Lock next Saturday in the A Championship. And also to the 2nd U21 hurlers, who face Raheny in the C Championship on the same day. Hard luck to the minor ladies team, who lost their Division 3 Shield match against St Pat's Donabate by 3-3 to 1-7. Many thanks to all those who came down to the 'Cuala Stradbrook' information evening in the clubhouse last Friday. There was a huge response to it, with a lot of new donations coming in over the weekend. See www.cualagaa.ie for details on how to donate. The Lotto wasn't won, so next week's Jackpot will be €1,500. Our three €50 lucky dip winners were Linda Gibson, Pip Connolly and Shane & Niomi Hayes. Tickets for next week's draw can be bought online at http://www.cualagaa.ie/lotto. The Annual Mass for deceased members will be held in the clubhouse on Wednesday 19th November at 8pm. The Club AGM will be held on Wednesday December 3rd at 8pm in Killiney Castle.

Fantastic displays in particular from Nathan Reilly in defence, Ciarain O'Daly in between the sticks & outfield. However, it was the goal-scoring from Nathan Hughes & the points scored by Scott Kennedy that stole the show. Well done to all concerned. Saturday Morning Nursery has changed to the Youth Club from 10am-11am. Contact Mark Gibney for details on 086-8394131.

ROUND TOWER LUSK

There was no winner of our Lotto Jackpot this week with numbers drawn 7-12-18-23. €50 went to Dolly McGee with €25 going to N Flynn and J Hand. Next week's Jackpot will be €2,650. Trinity Gaels (1-1) Round Towers (3-6). The U15 hurlers won their rescheduled League Final against Trinity Gaels in Balgriffin on Sunday in monsoon conditions. A superb display from all of the squad helped Towers to lead from start to finish. Darragh Kiernan set them on their way with a goal and a point in the first ten minutes, followed by two points by Jonathon Niall. Then a superb point by Seamus McGuinness and to put the icing on the cake a goal from a Jonathon Niall free just before half-time had Towers leading 2-4 to 0-0 at half-time. Darragh Kelly netted another opportunistic goal and Jonathon Niall and Luke White contributed with two points. AFL5: Craobh Chiarain (1-14) Round Towers (0-8). Towers started the better of the two teams and for the first 10 minutes were on top, but never fully capitalized with an experienced Chiarains team keeping them within touch. Chiarains were then gifted a few scores and went in 0-10 to 0-5 at half-time. A goal early in the second half killed it as a contest.
SCOIL UI CHONAILL

A big thanks goes out to the dancers for all their hard work and commitment (stars is a word I would use for them all) KR Events for staging a truly amazing event and last but not least to the Executive Committee for the work they put in to help make the event so successful. Ar dheis De a raibh a h-anam.
WHAT a season for our junior footballers, who followed up their success in the B Championship with victory on Sunday over St Maur's in the AFL6 Promotion Final. A great display of skill (catch Paul Connolly's back-heeled pass on the club website and also on Joe.ie and YouTube) from all the lads against a good Rush team and it means Syls will have teams competing in AFL1, AFL3 and AFL5 next season. There was also a fine win by the minors in their final group game against Round Towers Clondalkin to ensure progress to the semi-final of the MFC 'B'. Unfortunately, the U21s lost out narrowly to Kilmacud Crokes in their Championship game: we wish speedy recoveries to Conor Ryan and Fionn Cahill, who picked up injuries. Congratulations to Sinead Aherne on collecting her fourth All-Star award: we could not ask for a more sporting or accomplished player to carry the St Sylvester's name on the national stage. There will be a Special General Meeting in the clubhouse on Thursday November 27th (8.15pm). Members can now purchase their Syls gear through our new online facility. Simply log onto the Syls Sports Shop by clicking on the link on the club website, stsylvesters.ie. Place your order and the goods will be delivered to your door. Club gear is also available at the Syls Academy in Broomfield, which takes place every Saturday from 1.30pm for boys and girls aged 4 to 7.
