BALLYMUN KICKHAMS

THIS week's "Laoch na Seachtaine" is none other than Padraig McMahon from the U13s, who was instrumental in a great victory over O'Toole's, along with Lenny and Keith and a great team performance. But Padraig was the star man, and wins the much-coveted weekly award. Well done Padraig, take a bow. Hero of the week. A busy week for the juveniles, so a brief synopsis. Our U15s defeated Davis and the good overall team performance was ably-supported by the brilliant Ryan Murphy, Eoghan Flanagan, Sean Tuke and Evan Rowley. Gym Tuesday at 7pm. Our U16s lost their unbeaten run to Ballyboden despite the brilliance of Cian Fagan and Eamon Hill, but will come back stronger for Saturday week's game versus Kilmacud. Our minors are representing us superbly at county level, none more so than Dillon Keating, who amassed an awesome 1-8 against Offaly. The club minor As play Ballyboden on Sunday in the league, while they train in the gym at 7pm Wednesday, and Albert College at 4pm on Friday. There is huge amounts of information regarding our upcoming Easter camps (March 31-April 2) on our social media/website and information on our merchandise for sale and our latest recruitment drive for the ladies section, both players and helpers/mentors. Please visit our website http://www.ballymunkickhams.com, where you'll find links to these social media. Finally, we were saddened to hear of the theft of the All-Ireland medal belonging to Dermot Deasy last weekend. We would urge any persons with information that could lead to the recovery of this and other items stolen to please contact us here in the club, or the Garda confidential telephone on 1800-666-111. We do know the Deasy Clan were heartened by the response to our pleas on social and general media, so thank you all.

Old Hand Shovlan's AFL5 won 2-7 to 0-9 at Thomas Davis, while the battle of AFL8 saw Declan Harrington's debut as a manager lead his team to a win over Big Jim Fitz's charges, 7-6 to 3-7. Where a surprising number of good club men braved the conditions to witness a feast of football. A solid foundation of 40-50 young men representing the club. ST FINIAN'S, SWORDS

THE adult football season started this weekend, with both our intermediate and junior teams having home fixtures, versus Ballyboughal and Na Fianna respectively. The 'Inters' came up against a very strong Ballyboughal side and suffered a heavy defeat. The juniors gave the supporters who turned out, on a very nasty morning for weather, something to cheer about with a three point win over Na Fianna. There were plenty of stand-out performances from the lads, but special mention must go to Ronan White, who put in a great performance on his debut at adult level. Well done to the U9, 10 and 11 hurlers, who completed their indoor hurling season in Gormanston. Our adult hurlers have their first fixtures next weekend and are fielding two adult teams this year. Any hurlers who have moved to the area are welcome to join. The first team play in Division 4 and the second hurling team will be playing in Division 9. The second team, in particular, provides an opportunity for those who may wish to take up hurling again after an absence, be they new to the area or former club hurlers. Please contact Gene at 086-6063757 if you wish to get involved in any of our adult hurling teams. Ciara Buchanan and the Dublin camogie minors came out the wrong side of the result against All-Ireland Champions Limerick in Kilmallock. Eoin O'Connor bagged 1-2 for Fingal in the Allianz League game versus Tyrone. The match result was a one-point win for Tyrone, 1-16 to 1-15. With the season's games starting up, our Registrar Jean McGill has requested that registration is completed as soon as possible. The Club Shop is also fully stocked with everything for the coming season, including a full selection of all sizes of hurls, socks, shorts and kit bags.
