Thank you for all your professionalism, your dynamic methods, and dedication to our team and the club. We hope you can help deliver great success to the Dublin Hurling team. Thanks for everything and best of luck Ken. Our U15s had a great week with a resounding win in the final group game of the John Roche Tournament, and left the lads top of the group. Congratulations to our U16 team, who were victorious in their semi-final with Darragh Conlon, Seán Perkins, Tony McCaul, Evan Comerford, Shane Leahy and Brian Ashton all excelling. The Final is scheduled for next Saturday, please keep an eye on our social media for the venue and time. WELL done to the adult camogie team, who won the Championship Final after a brilliant win against Ballyboden on Sunday. It was a brilliant weekend of Camogie for the club, as the U15 team also won their A Championship Final against Ballyboden. It was a tough weekend for our adult footballers, however, after losing their Leinster quarter-final in Dundalk. We would like to thank all of those who travelled and supported the team so well as they have always done. Well done to the U15 boys footballers, who won the B Championship against St Maur's. CLANNA GAEL FONTENOY

CONGRATULATIONS to our U13 footballers, who ended their Division 1 league campaign with a fine win away to Kilmacud Crokes and thus finish third in the table - an excellent result for their first season in the top flight. Congratulations also to those of our local schools, which have recently excelled in their respective Cumann na mBunscol competitions. Each of Star of the Sea, Sandymount, St Patrick's, Ringsend, and St Michael's, Merrion Road, went all the way to win their Finals in Croke Park; while St Matthew's Primary School in Cranfield Place won their group in the Go Games Junior competition. Things could get even better with Ringsend Girls and Scoil Mhuire Lakelands due to contest their respective Finals in Croke Part this week. Well done to the players, teachers, trainers and all others involved in helping to develop this success. However, our U14 footballers were not so fortunate, losing their league semi-final play-off to a stronger Geraldine Morans side. Still they had a wonderful season - topped by their winning the Féile earlier in the year. It's also been a very busy time off the field of play: what with the opening of the club's new coffee shop, the work being done in support of the Marie Keating Foundation and the finishing touches being put to the Christmas Party, which will take place at the club on Saturday 29th November.

CLONTARF

TOTW is our U10 hurlers, winning all 5 matches away to Cuala and O'Toole's. What a great end of the season for these up and coming stars. Dylan Collum deserves special mention. Congrats also to our Junior A footballers, winning a relegation play-off to maintain their division status. Commiserations to our U16 footballers, losing out to Kilmacud Crokes after extra-time in the Division 1 league semi-final. We wish Patrick Smyth a speedy recovery following a nasty facial injury received during the game. Commiserations also to our U21 hurlers, going out of the Championship after extra-time against Sylvester's. This despite a fantastic performance that belied their years. Well done to our adult ladies team, who had a convincing win against Maur's to finish second in their league. Our U11 girls recorded three great wins away to Lucan. CUALA

LAST weekend saw Cuala camogie teams playing in no less than five Championship and Shield Finals. Teams in every age group, from adult down to U13, were in action - a great reflection of all the hard work being put into camogie at all levels in Cuala. The Finals produced just the one trophy for Cuala, but how appropriate it was that it was the adult camogie team, managed by the Ladies Games Section's spiritual leader Fintan Quill, who won the Division 7 Shield title in the year Cuala made its return to the adult grade. Although the other teams lost their Finals, all went down fighting. The future looks bright for Cuala camogie. Well done to the senior footballers, who overcame St Maur's by 1-20 to 2-4 last Sunday in AFL2. Congratulations to the U15B football team, who had a comprehensive win against Ballyboden to win their D Championship Shield Final, 6-13 to 1-4. There was great work by all the '99 and '00 lads, who make up the squad. Thanks to all those who turned out at Thomastown to see this group win, their first-ever trophy. The U21B hurlers had a good win over Naomh Barrog in the C Hurling Championship. Final score 2-11 to 1-9 in Cuala's favour. The Lotto wasn't won, so next week's Jackpot will be €1,400. Our three €50 lucky dip winners were Tadhg Murphy, Bernie Cole and Michael Cullinane. Tickets can be bought online at http://www.cualagaa.ie/lotto. On Friday November 7th at 8pm, we need one hour from one adult member of every Cuala family. We need you to come to the clubhouse to hear about the Cuala Stradbrook project, as we reach a critical point in the development. U15 camogie drew their Final with Naomh Mearnog, unlucky not to come away with the win. Replay details to be confirmed. U15 Footballers won their Final. AFL8 team that won their relegation play-off against Trinity Gaels and will remain in AFL8. U16A footballers won the league semi-final by beating Clontarf 2-20 to 3-10 in extra-time. This is the team's third Final this year. The league final, against Ballyboden, will be played this weekend and the Cup Final, versus Ballymun, is due to take place November 15 (Hill16 shows Saturday November 8, 2.30pm). U21A hurlers beat Na Fianna in the Championship, 1-11 to 1-4. Next, Ballyboden in the quarter-final, also November. Senior hurlers beat Rathdowney/Errill 0-23 to 0-22 after extra-time in a very tough game to progress to the Leinster semis to face the Kilkenny champions. No pressure then. Seán McGrath's dead-ball accuracy the difference, with a personal tally of 0-15 (13f, 0-1 '65'). Three scores in extra-time eventually settling the matter. Might have sealed victory in normal time when they led by four with six minutes left. Hard luck to: U13A+B camogie teams, who lost their respective Finals to Lucan and Erin go Bragh. Minor A hurlers, who lost to a very strong Na Fianna side in the A Championship Final. U16B footballers, who lost to O'Dwyers by 6 points after extra-time. NAOMH MAUR

AFL1: St Maur's 1-13, Kilmacud Crokes 0-10. Well done to the lads as they secure a top-four league play-off position in Divison 1. What a week it has been for this team as they beat Round Towers Clondalkin in SF "B" Championship Final last Monday night in Parnell Park on a scoreline of St Maur's 3-10, Round Towers Clondalkin 1-05. After a slow start it took Maur's a long time to settle, but when they did they played some great football and over-powered Towers. Whatever was said at half-time worked a treat as on the restart Maur's went full tilt and dispossessed Towers players on a few occasions, and within 5 minutes of the restart Maur's took the lead with points from Reddin and McGuire. Make no mistake about it, this was a superb victory by a fantastic group of players and a management team who left no stone unturned to reach this Final and be at the top end of the toughest league in Ireland. Congrats to all involved. Hard luck to our ladies team, who were beaten by big numbers Sunday at home against a strong and very tight team of Clontarf. One more match to play, semi-final of the Cup against Clanna Gael. MHC "B" semi-final, St Maur's 1-8, Thomas Davis 2-8. Hard luck to the minor hurlers from Rush as they put in a great effort to get to the Final of this Championship. Maur's U16 footballers drew with Westmanstown away on Saturday. U15 footballers lost out to Castleknock in their Championship Final at Blakestown Road. Well done to our U/4 footballers, who had a great win against Lucan Sarsfields in the U14 semi-final Saturday. The game was played in lashing rain and a gale of wind and it made it very difficult for players.

NAOMH MEARNóG

WELL done to our U14 camogie girls, who won the Championship on Saturday after a tough battle against Castleknock. Ciara Holland was selected as Player of the Match. The team is managed by Larry Kavanagh, Eamonn Crosby and Joan O'Connor. On Sunday, our U15 camogie team played their Final against Crokes. This game ended in a draw and will be replayed next weekend. We hosted 9 Camogie Finals over the weekend and we thank all those who helped out. There was glamour and glitz in evidence in the club on Saturday night when both the adult hurlers and camogie girls had their end of season celebrations. Congratulations to Ciaran Waters and Aidan Kenny, who were selected as the Players of the Year for the hurlers. A word of thanks also to Paddy Gorey and his crew, who are stepping down after 2 years in charge of the hurlers. Next weekend, our U21 footballers start the Championship campaign with a game away to Ballyboughal. This is old-fashioned "winner takes all" Championship. So please support the lads. On Sunday morning, our minor footballers are at home to St Olaf's, also in the Championship. Our Annual Chairman's Dinner takes place on the 22nd. Tickets are available from the bar. Last week's club notes contained a typing error and should have read, congratulations to David Kennedy and Sarah Ryan who were married recently.

O'TOOLE'S

IT'S all about the little people (no not the leprechauns) at the minute in O'Toole's. Following last week's successful 'Monsters Ball', where the kids were entertained by the delightful and beautiful Kelly, to the first of our monthly movie screenings on Friday, which proved to be a big hit. In the penultimate game of the season, our U8s travelled to Russell Park to play a strong St Brigid's team. However, our boys and girl did us proud with a great display of hurling skills. They've come a long way since January so well done. Our U9s also had a good season and they look forward to their last match on Saturday, because afterwards they have games of a different type in 'Jump Zone', which is booked for 1pm. Any U9 interested in going should see Sue for details. It's been a long but good season for our juveniles in general and now it's upwards and onwards we go, continuing to train in preparation for next season. Whether it's a match on the big screen or live entertainment, then O'Toole's Lounge is the place to be. This Saturday, for a fun night out, it's 'City Limits'. The club wishes a 'speedy recovery' to life-long member and one-time player Paddy McDonnell. There was no winner of our Thursday night live Lotto draw. The numbers drawn were 2-6-14-17. This week the Jackpot will be €4,500.

PARNELL'S

CONGRATS to the senior men's footballers on their fantastic win over Ballyboden this morning, 3-10 to 2-6. A great goal from Aaron Hurley in the second half and 7 points from novelist Conor Mortimer decided the game. Hard luck to the junior men's team, who were beaten by a point on Sunday by St Peregrine's. Leigh Fogarty, Keith Byrne, Chris Carolan, Ger Brady and Tom Roddy all played great on the day. Thanks to Brian Power, James Dowling, Peter White and Steven Harvey for a good year with the team. Our minor men have a Championship game v Craobh Chiarain on Sunday at 11am in Chanel. Mark Heron, Dan Gerathy, Keith Campbell and John Rush all had a fantastic season. Congratulations to all players and mentors on a well-deserved victory. Lotto results for Monday October 27 were 2-8-12-21, and the bonus was 7. There was no winner and 4 people had 3 numbers. Lotto jackpot November 3 is worth €3,200. Ticket available from the bar or reception. Tickets for the National Club Draw are selling fast, with lots of amazing prizes to be won and proceeds going towards supporting Parnell's. RAHENY

WELL done to our U15 camogie ladies, who beat Barrog 6-9 to 4-1 in the play-off for league runner-ups. Hard luck to our U13 Division 5, who fought a hard battle against Faughs on Sunday morning but were unsuccessful in the Shield Final. Special mention has to go to Eabha Ni Bhraidaigh, who did a fantastic job. AFL4: Raheny 0-8 v 1-13 St Jude's. Unfortunately, the minor hurlers did not finish their season with a victory. A battling, winning performance in the second half was just not enough to overturn the half-time deficit. We wish them all well in their future with the club. Congratulations to camogie U14s, who won the Shield Final against Cuala on Saturday. Final score: Raheny 3-2 v 2-3 Cuala. Ogra on this Saturday at 10am. GAA4Mas growing in numbers. All welcome. No previous experience necessary. 8pm-9pm on Sunday evening. Our dancers are working hard on their routines and have been partnered up. Check out their profiles on our Facebook page: 'Raheny GAA presents Strictly Come Dancing". Tickets €20 available in the bar or from any of the dancers. There was no winner of our Lotto Jackpot this week with numbers drawn 6-11-17-24. €50 went to E Daly with €25 going to F Fagan and N Murphy. Next week's Jackpot will be €2,500. Bingo continues each Monday night at 8:30pm with a book costing €10. Match Results: The U13s went into Saturdays fixture vs Ballyboden knowing a win would seal the league title. The wind and rain kicked up as throw-in approached. Towers started well with scores from Luke Codd, Cameron Renwick and Adam Shields. Towers were well up at half-time, but a spirited come back from Bodens meant Towers had to dig deep to deliver the league title. Glen Loughnane was outstanding in goal, Dave Moore had an outstanding day but MOTM was Davison Okosun with a trojan effort in midfield.

ST FINIAN'S, SWORDS

THE 2014 Annual General Meeting has been postponed until next Thursday, November 6 at 9pm in the clubhouse. Our junior footballers had an important relegation play-off on Sunday morning against Naomh Olaf. Despite becoming a very close affair midway through the 2nd half, the lads pulled away strongly to finish as 8 point winners, securing their status in AFL8. Our U12 boys played their last hurling league match on Saturday, versus Naomh Fionnbarra. They won well with a fine performance. They have only lost once since June and missed out on making the league final play-off by just one point. The Holy Family SNS play their 4th consecutive Final of the Cumann na mBunscoil in Croke Park on Monday. The team is managed by Ms Keely and all the girls come from our U11 & U12 club teams. ST MARGARET'S

A mixed weekend on the field of play for the club, mostly good though. Commiserations to our U14 footballers, who put in a majestic effort in their league semi-final v Thomas Davis, only to fall short by a kick of the ball in the end, 5-6 to 5-9. No doubt the lads will bounce back from this, and it was a super achievement in reaching the semi-finals. Well done to the U13s, who beat Templeogue/Synge Street, 6-12 to 4-2 last Thursday. This win leaves them joint top of Division 2 with Castleknock and Clontarf. There will be a 3-way play-off for the league title, more will be known once league fixtures are announced. Well done lads and best of luck. Well done to the U16 Thomas Ashe footballers, who won their league semi-final with a 1-10 to 0-6 win over St Pat's Palmerstown. Best of luck in the Final. Well done to the intermediate footballers, who came away from their league promotion play=off semi-final, away to Good Counsel, with a 0-9 to 1-10 win. It was a great team effort by all, and the lads now play St Jude's in the Final to determine who goes up to Division 3. Good Counsel are a very good side, and no doubt they will be in the shake up for promotion again next season. A discussion forum, with a County Board facilitator, will be held in the Complex on Thursday at 8pm. Anyone with an interest in the future direction of the club is invited to attend the discussion to help plan the way forward for the club.

WHAT a weekend both on and off the pitch last weekend. Firstly, the events on the pitch. Congrats to the management and players of our U15 team, who won the Shield on Sunday last with a two point victory over St Sylvester's. Also our thanks to Commercials for allowing us the use of their pitch as there was a senior game fixed for Saggart. Also, congrats to the seniors, who secured a draw against St Jude's to gain us a relegation play-off and a chance to remain in Division 1 for another year. Soon after the final whistle, we learned that our opponents in that game will be near neighbours Thomas Davis and the game will take place in Tallaght at a date yet to be confirmed. Finally, commiserations to our minors, who exited their Championship as a result of a four-point loss to Craobh Chiarain. Off the pitch, our sincere thanks to Micheal O'Muircheartaigh for launching the history of the club "100 years or so" in the clubhouse last Saturday night. What an occasion with over 300 people attending and many people meeting up for the first time in years. Our thanks also to John Costello, County Secretary, and Niall Scully Evening Herald for also attending. Again, The Echo were in attendance and our thanks to them for their continued support and finally to John Simpson and the ladies committee who ensured that the club was in fantastic shape and all comers were "fed and watered" as such an occasion merited. IF ever there was a Halloween weekend to remember, this was it for Syls: pride of place went to the U15As, who captured the County Football Championship with a hugely impressive win over Lucan Sarsfields in the Final, whilst the U13s also put down a marker as a side of some substance when beating Skerries Harps to capture the Division One football league. Congratulations to everyone involved in the respective successes, to the players and management teams and also to the supporters, who travelled en masse to Blakestown and Skerries for the two deciders. There were also good wins by the U16 footballers in their league semi-final over Naomh Barróg and by the U21 hurlers in the Championship over Clontarf. Hopefully, Kevin O'Flynn can make a speedy recovery from the hand injury he sustained. The junior footballers also produced a good display in winning their AFL6 play-off over Fingallians to advance to the Promotion Final. Hard luck to the U14s, who narrowly lost out to St Pat's Palmerstown in their football league semi-final and to the U15Bs, who gave way to St Mary's in the Shield Final. All in all, a great weekend for the club on the playing front and confirmation of the great work being done throughout the different age groups.
