Armagh primed for attack on Clones

IT'S been a while since Armagh made any waves, either on the pitch or off, it so maybe it's no surprise the two come together.

Time was, no-one harvested the good out of a siege mentality quite like Armagh and if it works again this week, they're absolutely right to utilise it. Not that Paul Grimley has any point when he says 'hysterical reporting' caused his team's suspensions.

But if he can get the playersto believe that, then so be it.

Chris McGuinness and Paudie McKenna come into the Monaghan team from the drawn game, a side which struggled to open scoring chances late on.

Which, for a team with a particular talent for long-range point scoring, was a somewhat odd development.

Armagh kicked the last three points of the drawn game and have Andy Mallon, Brendan Donaghy and Kieran Toner all back from suspension.

But Monaghan can't lose in Clones, can they?

ODDS: Monaghan 8/15, Draw 15/2, Armagh 2/1

VERDICT: Monaghan

(Clones, Tomorrow, 3.30)
