Armagh keep momentum
Armagh manager Paul Grimley was left more than satisfied by his team's performance as they dominated Roscommon in the All-Ireland SFC Round 3B qualifier, running out 1-17 to 1-12 winners.
The home side failed to score from play in the opening half at Hyde Park, as Stefan Forker's 64th minute goal eased Armagh home.
There had been concerns within the Orchard County for the build-up that they were ripe for picking following their victory over great rivals Tyrone last week.
Grimley (inset) was thrilled they managed to maintain their momentum however.
"I'm delighted by it," he said. "It was very important that after the Tyrone victory last week that we sort of put them back-to-back because in the past when we got a morale boosting win like we did last week we sort of faltered in the next round
"Thankfully today we pushed on and we got two back-to-back victories which is more than pleasing."
