Xpose, giving a voice to 50 somethings

IIt's all change at Xpose, which hasn't just announced a new presenter and an extension of its running time to an hour. This week, they also unveiled their chic new studio, which will allow for more panel-based features. "The new set is stylish and fresh," said their producer, "and Peter [O'Riordan] brings an alternative presenting style. Going live allows us to be even more relevant and bring the viewers the most up-to-date news." And just to show how young, vibrant and up to date the new Xpose is, one of the first episodes featured an in-studio dissection of the previous weekend's X Factor, in the company of 50-something Mary Byrne, who appeared on X Factor four years ago, and has done little of note since. Oh, hang on...

dAnother fashion event, another outfit for Laura Whitmore - as Ireland's most prolific clothes horse steps out for yet another photo op, showcasing her most obvious talent - being able to dress. This time the Bray native will be one of the mainstays of London Fashion Week, featuring in a live Q&A session with her adoring public, during which time she will answer questions about her wardrobe. This suggests to me that there is one major problem with London Fashion Week, namely that it only lasts for a week. Because by the time Laura has finished describing her hourly changes of clothing, it will be Christmas.
