Letters: Galway motorway needs more services

Recently, my wife and I went to Galway for a weekend, as we haven't been down that way for a few years and we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves on a new motorway.

Recently, my wife and I went to Galway for a weekend, as we haven't been down that way for a few years and we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves on a new motorway.

But as we headed to Galway we found it the most boring journey -- there wasn't a tree or a house either side of the road. Plus, there was nowhere to stop for a cup of tea or to use the toilet. We have driven through England and Wales quite a bit and you wouldn't go 15 miles without seeing a service station with a cafe and toilets.

How much more pleasant it would be to travel to Galway if these services were provided.
