Editorial: Niland did us all proud

WELL done to Conor Niland as the first Irishman in 27 years to grace the court at Wimbledon.

The 29-year-old Limerick man showed grit and determination in the marathon slugfest with Adrian Mannarino as he almost made it through to the second round in a four-hour battle.

Getting to Wimbledon was an achievement in itself and we are truly proud of him regardless of the match outcome.
