Frank Roche: We're not thinking of Kerry says Gilroy
PAT GILROY insists it's been easy for his Sky Blue crew to block out presumptuous media talk about a Dublin/Kerry All-Ireland final -- for the simple reason that they simply cannot afford to look beyond Donegal in this Sunday's semi-final.
"You only have to look at the way Donegal have played - then you don't have to worry (about that)," Gilroy declared today.
"None of us went to the other semi-final (between Kerry and Mayo) because it's none of our business until after Sunday and unless we win.
"In our quarter-final, when you had a challenge like Tyrone, you couldn't think about the next game. And it's the same with this one: they (Donegal) have played too well to be thinking beyond them."
As widely predicted, the Dublin boss has stuck with the same 15 players who cut loose against Tyrone in the quarter-finals. However, he's expecting a more suffocating type of game against the Ulster champions at Croke Park.
"Clearly their defensive system is exceptional, the way they commit themselves to tackling and the way they've broken down teams," Gilroy pointed out.
"You'd have to admire that, it's a great trait in a team, and certainly they won't be easy to break down on Sunday."
