Yvonne takes to pitch in joy at son's rugby triumph

She's a model mum but Yvonne Keating proved she can rough it with the best of them as she took to the rugby pitch earlier this week.

The mum-of-three (40) looked stylish as she joined her son Jack on the playing field as his school Belvedere College celebrated winning their final.

The 16-year-old and his school mates battled it out against fellow Dublin school Gonzaga to claim the silverware in the Junior 2 final on Thursday.

Yvonne looked as proud as punch as she posed with her eldest child for a picture after their victory.

The beaming model shared a picture of the pair on Instagram and wrote, "Silverware for Belvo today, nerve-wracking ending, 17-12 against Gonzaga. Very proud of Jack and the team #atleastwewoncup".

Jack, who celebrated his 16th birthday last month, is a keen rugby player and has had first-hand experience of the physical game when he broke his collarbone in three places in 2013.

Luckily there was a happier ending to this week's match with Jack's team coming out on top. Yvonne has two other children with her ex-husband Ronan Keating, Missy (14) and Ali (8). Boyzone crooner Ronan took to Twitter to congratulate his son on his victory, writing, "Congrats to my boy @jack_keating99 and all the lads on @Belvederecolleg rugby team that won against Gonzaga today."

The boyband star, who officially divorced from first wife Yvonne last month, announced his engagement to Australian TV producer Storm Uechtritz (34) this week.

Aside from cheering on her son from the sidelines, Yvonne has been busy going back to cooking school and plans on starting her own business by the end of the year.

Earlier this week, she revealed how she almost went into business with fellow model Amanda Byram. The stylish mum said that the fashionable pair had considered opening up a shoe shop.

"I set up a pop-up business last year and it didn't really work out so by the end of the year I'm hoping to do it full-time or long-term as opposed to a pop-up," Yvonne told the Herald.

"It's retail but I have to wait for the big reveal. When I was modelling, opening a business would have always been my target as something to do when I retire.

"In fact, myself and Amanda Byram were very close to opening a shoe shop years ago," she added.
