A young man accused of violent disorder and damaging windows at a neighbour's property is facing trial.

Paddy Connors (21) has been ordered to have no contact with the alleged injured party for the duration of the trial.

Judge Patricia McNamara adjourned the case to a date in November for the service of the book of evidence.

The accused, of Nutgrove Crescent, in Rathfarnham, appeared before Tallaght District Court charged with violent disorder and criminal damage.

Damaging

It is alleged that Mr Connors, together with three other named individuals, committed violent disorder at Nutgrove Crescent on December 23 last year.

He is also accused of damaging a number of windows at a property at Nutgrove Crescent.

The court heard that the DPP had directed trial on indictment in the circuit court on the charges.

The accused was remanded on bail in his own bond of €200. He must also sign on at Rathfarnham Garda Station and have no contact with the alleged injured party.

Mr Connors has not yet indicated how he is pleading to the charges.
