Xpose's Lisa eyes up Kimye's caterers for her dream wedding
BIG DAY: Lisa Cannon sets sights on A-listers' wedding staff
Xpose's Lisa Cannon is looking to hire some A-list staff when she ties the knot with her fiance this autumn.
The presenter is looking to employ some of the professionals used by Hollywood stars at her own wedding, but has said she doesn't want people getting the wrong idea.
"I need to be clear, because I don't want people thinking I'm a millionaire, I'm not. We're just normal people," the 35-year-old explains.
She points out that the quality available is the same in Italy, where she will be marrying rugby player Richard Keatley.
"There is no difference in caterers, or florists in Italy. There are maybe three or four that people use so you get to use some of the awesome caterers that the Kardashians or the Clooneys have used - it all depends on your budget. It depends on the package you go for," Lisa explains.
However, despite possibly sharing the same wedding staff as the A-listers, the presenter admits that planning the special day can prove a "beast" to organise.
"It's a lot of heartache organising a wedding abroad. I didn't realise what a beast it was until I actually took it on," she said.
On top of the hard work involved in organising the Florence wedding, juggling the task with covering the Oscars as well as other personal trips has been tough for her.
"I always knew it was always going to be heavy going, especially with the schedule we have - we're anchoring everyday, I'm doing the Oscars and I've my own personal trips I need to take: my dad wants to come to Wales and meet Richard's parents," the bride told TV Now.
When the big day comes along the ever-composed Lisa suspects there will be some tears, but insists they will be "happy tears".
Although having no grasp of the Italian language she says that it was simply the vibe of the place that won her over.
"We love Italy, even though neither of us speak Italian, we just love the vibe," she explained.
All of her Xpose colleagues are also invited to the affair, insuring that there will be an added splash of glamour at the event, with one of Ireland's top wedding bands Harlequin providing the entertainment for the night.
After the wedding the couple will be able to enjoy their honeymoon, possibly in the Seychelles.
