WITH MOST OF HIS MOB MURDERED OR BEHIND BARS, KING RATT IS ISOLATED
It has been a very bad year for the once strong mob which is controlled by jailed crime lord 'King Ratt' Brian Rattigan.
The gang "has been decimated" and most of the senior players have either been murdered or are serving lengthy prison sentences. To compound matters for Rattigan, his once extremely loyal long-term girlfriend Natasha McEnroe has found love with a new man.
This man has been under constant death threat since the start of the year and survived a number of assassination attempts.
Natasha (27) has been a regular fixture in Dublin's gangland scene for years. She was arrested in March last year after gardai discovered a list of names and addresses of jurors who sat in her former boyfriend's first murder trial.
With a lack of henchmen on the outside, Rattigan has become isolated in Portlaoise Prison his only regular visitor, is his sister Sharon who brings his beloved daughter to see him as well.
Earlier this year in Portlaoise Prison, his cousin Timothy Rattigan (31) -- also a convicted murderer -- was transferred to another jail after issuing a death threat against a prison officer.
Sources believe that the gang will be strengthened with the imminent release of key ally Gavin Guinan-Cahill (33) -- a nephew of murdered gang boss Martin 'The General' Cahill.
