SPEAKERS at the Dublin Web Summit said that the gender balance in the technology world is beginning to even out.
The event highlighted the number of women speakers in what has previously been a male-dominated event.
"People have asked us where all the women entrepreneurs in tech are and the answer is, there aren't many compared to men," said Web Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave. "But things are changing, and changing fast."
Speakers included Cindy Gallop, who headed up BBH advertising in the US, and Soraya Dorabi, who was head of social media at the New York Times.
