Voice coach Una goes for classic Irish name as she welcomes baby Tadhg
Saturdays singer Una Foden and her rugby star husband Ben have welcomed their second child into the world - a baby boy named Tadhg.
The Tipperary native gave birth to Tadhg John at 12.30pm , and proud dad Ben couldn't resist sharing his joy online.
"Tadhg John Foden has been born. Mum and baby are both amazing and healthy," he wrote on Twitter.
"He has a full head of hair and his mummy's lips."
Una revealed the inspiration behind their new son's name.
"We were unsure of a name for a while but it was always Ben's decision that would win in the end," she said.
"He asked me to list possible Irish boys names and as soon as he heard the name Tadhg it really stood out to him.
"It's become a tradition to give our children classic Irish names."
The Voice of Ireland coach first revealed her pregnancy last September with an adorable snap of her daughter Aoife Belle (2) wearing a T-shirt that read: "I'm going to be a big sister."
Following the announcement, Ben and Una revealed that they were expecting a boy.
"Ben was adamant from the start that we were having a boy," said Una.
"I was convinced I was carrying a girl, mainly because this pregnancy is so similar to last time. I was a bit taken aback when we found out we were having a son, now I'm over the moon."
Una, who married Ben in Kilshane House, Tipperary, in 2012, said she picked the middle name John after her father and expects their little boy to be known as TJ.
She will be back at work less than two months after giving birth when the live shows of The Voice air from March 22 on RTE One.
