Vietnam pair in drugs remand
TWO men charged with cultivating cannabis grass worth more than €350,000 in south Co Dublin have been further remanded in custody.
Vietnamese nationals Quang Vuong (33) and Tran Huyen (33), of no fixed address, appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court last week and were further remanded in custody. The court was told the alleged offence occurred in a house in Stillorgan, south Co Dublin.
Quang Vuong is also charged that on July 26 at the Drummartin Link Road, Dublin, he was in possession of cannabis grass worth €40,000 for the purpose of supply.
Following a search of a house on that date, cannabis grass worth €316,000 was discovered. The pair face charges of cultivating the drug without a licence.
Judge Claire Leonard remanded Quang Vuong in custody until October 15 with consent to bail of €50,000. Tran Huyen was remanded in custody to the same date.
