Up to 170 jobs at risk as UPC to implement restructuring plan
Around 170 Irish jobs are at risk as UPC embarks on a restructuring programme.
SIPTU said it will now enter discussions with management.
“Management has stated that the redundancies are unavoidable due to the company’s decision to implement a restructuring plan which will see some operations relocated to the Philippines and others amalgamated” SIPTU organiser Dennis Hynes said.
"Out of the approximately 170 job losses over 100 relate to our members.”
UPC has operations in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Limerick and Waterford.
