Two women arrested in connection with Temple Bar attack that led to death of father-of three
GardaI investigating a violent assault in Temple Bar in which a man was fatally injured arrested two young women yesterday.
Gareth O’Connor (29) died in hospital the day after being assaulted in Cow’s Lane on Thursday.
Four men – aged in their 20s and 30s – were arrested and were later released without charge.
The two women detained by gardai yesterday were both aged in their early 20s.
Both were questioned at Pearse Street Garda Station, and one of the women was later released without charge. A file was sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
