Two men rescued from separate home fires

TWO men have been rescued from house fires in Dublin and Bray.

Fire services were on the scene of two separate incidents overnight after emergency calls alerted them to the blazes.

An elderly man was rescued from a house on Thornhill Road in Bray at around 10.30pm.

A separate fire spread through three apartments at Leeson Village, near the old Canadian Embassy, in the early hours of today.

Dublin Fire Brigade told the Herald that they were alerted to the incident early today. A spokesman added there were no casualties.

One man was rescued from the fire which broke out shortly after midnight.

Fire personnel took over four hours to bring the blaze under control.
