Tweed in court over club fight

Jack Tweed is due to appear in court today to face charges related to a scuffle outside a nightclub.

The 23-year-old widower of Jade Goody is accused of threatening and abusive behaviour, relating to an incident outside Wright's Deuces Bar and Lounge in Essex in the early hours of January 3.



Hammer raid foiled by OAP

Four men were being held by police today after a gang of robbers wielding sledgehammers was stopped by a pensioner who attacked them with her handbag.

Footage of the incident at a jeweller's in Northampton showed the woman crossing a road towards the six-strong mob as they smashed the shop's windows.



'Polite' robbery suspect is held

POLICE have made an arrest over a convenience store robbery in Seattle, which became notable due to the robber's politeness.

The robber apologised, said he had children to feed, and added that if he ever got back on his feet, he would pay the money back.
