TV looks for big ideas

APPRENTICE employer Bill Cullen and Norah Casey, of Dragons' Den fame, are leading an event to invite businesses to pitch for investment from Ireland's main banks and agencies.

The event -- which is Ireland's first so-called 'Pop-up Bank' -- will include representations from AIB, Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank.

Agencies such as Enterprise Ireland, First-Step, the Irish Local Development Network, enterprise boards and venture capitalists will also attend.

New start-up businesses are invited to attend the event at Croke Park, from 11am to 3pm tomorrow.

The initiative will be filmed as part of a new RTE series, The Business, which is due on air in early March.
