Trayvon killer's bail is revoked

A JUDGE has revoked the bail of the neighbourhood watch volunteer charged with shooting dead an unarmed black 17-year-old, Trayvon Martin.

George Zimmerman is pleading not guilty to second-degree murder and claims self-defence. Zimmerman shot Martin in February during a confrontation at a gated community in Sanford, Florida.

The delay in an arrest prompted worldwide protests.

Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester said that Zimmerman and his wife, Shellie, misled the court about how much money they had available when his bond was set for $150,000 (¤120,000) in April.

El Dorado Police Chief Tom Boren says the girl was last seen at 2am on Thursday and her parents reported her missing about 2pm.

Boren said investigators believe the girl may have got into a car driven by 20-year-old Kenneth Stewart McGill, of Ontario, Canada.

Spider-Man lawsuit limits

A JUDGE has warned that she may narrow the scope of a lawsuit over the Broadway production of Spider-Man.

Fired director Julie Taymor claims that the current production violates her copyright. The judge must also decide the fate of counterclaims brought against Taymor by producers.

Taymor was fired in 2011 as the $75m (¤60m) production sputtered. The musical was rewritten and it successfully reopened.
