Trap mourns his sister (81)

REPUBLIC of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni was forced to postpone a trip to Dublin today after the death of his sister.

The 81-year-old nun, Romilde Trapattoni, who dedicated her life to the Sisters of Charity Order in Milan, where Mr Trapattoni lives, died early this morning.

Trapattoni was due to announce his squad today for next month's friendly with Poland at the Aviva Stadium on February 6, but alternative arrangements have been made.

FAI offered its "sincere condolences".
