Tourist centre may be closed

FAILTE Ireland will decide this month whether to close one of its best-known tourist centres in Dublin.

THE Discover Ireland Centre in the former St Andrew's Church on Suffolk Street, will either undergo refurbishment or be relocated to another city-centre premises.

A spokesman for the tourism body said the building in its current state is not suitable and a decision will be made on its future in the coming weeks. The centre opened there in 1996.
