Cupid is seeking an intern as the JobBridge scheme moves into the realms of romance.
A dating agency is the latest enterprise to join the State scheme to get unemployed people back to work.
The Department of Social Protection’s jobs website states that the Amour Arrow dating agency in Ballinrobe, Co Mayo, is looking for an office assistant.
The dating agency’s website states its service is confidential and all dates are ‘individually matched by a matchmaker’.
On completion of the nine-month internship, the Department’s website states the intern will have attained skills in communication, computing skills, organising events and dealing with ‘heated personnel’.
But the agency owner, Lithuanian native Asta Bautreniene (36), said the words ‘heated personnel’ were used in error and it should have been ‘highly experience personnel’.
She said the agency had brought together a large number of couples in the past five years and three marriages have come out of these relationships.
