Terenure goes 'posh'

A CITY village that wanted to be moved into a more "middle-class" Dublin constituency is getting its wish.

Terenure residents had lobbied for the Dublin South-East boundary to be moved to take in the whole of the village.

For more than 20 years, the village has been split in two, with half of the community within Dublin South-Central.

Now the Constituency Commission has agreed, recommending that the south-east electoral area be extended and renamed Dublin Bay South.
