Ten vehicles from the Dublin Fire Brigade including six pumps responded to a fire in the old motor tax office at Chancery Street to tackle three separate fires in the vacant property.

It's suspected that the small fires were started by vandals and it was feared this morning that there may be youngsters in the building, though no one was found inside.

The fires broke out at around 8am this morning and two ambulances were also on standby in case any casualties were discovered.

Fire crews extingushed the blaze.
