Teen on bail in youth attack
A TEENAGER who repeatedly punched and kicked a youth to his head during an unprovoked attack has been remanded on bail pending sentence.
The 17-year-old, who is in care, pleaded guilty at the Children's Court to assault causing harm in north Dublin, on July 1 last year.
During the attack, he had to be "pulled off" his victim, but had no prior criminal convictions and later he apologised to the youth through the Facebook website, the court heard.
The teenager approached the victim and "struck him three times" because he had mistakenly thought he had "slagged off" a friend.
He was remanded on bail for sentencing in March.
