Teen 'kicked garda in brawl'

A 15-YEAR-OLD Dublin boy has been accused of kicking a garda who was trying to arrest another person.

GARDAI had been trying to arrest a man on New Year's Day in north Dublin when the boy allegedly intervened.

Dublin Children's Court was told that the boy was seen to "run from the crowd and kick a garda in the back and run from the scene".

Garda Aidan O'Halloran, from Blanchardstown station, told Judge Aingeal Ni Chonduin that the boy was aggressive when arrested.

The teenager is charged with assault, obstruction and breach of the peace.
