A YOUTH has been remanded in custody after the Dublin Children's Court heard he broke bail conditions 30 times in a month.
The teen (16) said that there was nothing else to do but hang around a block of flats with other youths even though he had been barred from there and banned from being in a group of more than three people in public. The boy had been given bail last month pending being charged with criminal damage to a Garda patrol car, throwing missiles, failing to follow a caution, breach of the peace and violent behaviour in a garda station.

Wilshere's spokesman said: "The police have made it very clear that he is an important witness to the incident and played the role of peacemaker and is unlikely to face any charges as a result."

The figures come as popular shows X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing prepare to go head to head for Saturday-night ratings.
Nursing home blaze kills nine
Nine elderly people died in a fire in a nursing home that may have been started by a resident setting himself on fire, Russian emergency officials said.
A spokeswoman for the regional Emergencies Ministry, Daria Korovina, said the fire in Tver, 125 miles north of Moscow, forced the evacuation of about 480 people early today. She said investigators found a canister of flammable liquid in the room where the fire started.
