A YOUTH is to go on trial after his DNA was allegedly found on the trigger of a sawn-off shotgun which was dumped in a lane-way in south Dublin.
The eighteen-year-old appeared at the Children's Court accused of possessing stolen property.
He has also been charged with possessing a Dan Arms sawn-off shotgun.
He was 17 and a juvenile when originally charged but has since reached adulthood.
The shotgun, which had been stolen during a burglary in 2004, was recovered at a lane near Herberton Road, in Drimnagh. The youth, who is on bail, was remanded to appear again in December.
