Teacher changed price tags on make-up
A TEACHER who changed the price on cosmetic items has begged a judge to leave her without a conviction.
Izabela Wozniak (35) said she needs garda vetting to get a job, and will be unable to get one if she has a conviction.
Judge David McHugh ordered Wozniak to donate €250 to Blanchardstown Hospice and said he'd strike out the charge.
The defendant, of Fortunes Lawn, Citywest, admitted before Blanchardstown District Court to changing the prices on two cosmetic items from €5.09 and €14.00 down to 50c at Boots in Blanchardstown on February 22 last.
Lawyer Jennifer Jackson said Wozniak is married with two children. She has never been in trouble before.
Ms Jackson said Wozniak has no explanation for what she did, and was very sorry.
