Stripe, the booming online payments startup set up by Limerick brothers Patrick and John Collison, has embarked on a major European expansion.
Co-founder John said that the company is launching services in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.
The move will bolster Stripe's increasing dominance in emerging online payments industries.
The company now employs almost 250 people with most working in the firm's San Francisco headquarters.
And John said that the company is set to add to its European presence over the next two years. "I think if you look at us in two years time, we'll have more European partners than we do today," he said.
