Slither me timber – 5-foot snake found in Dublin tree
Residents of Ballybrack thought they were having their legs pulled when a five-foot albino corn snake was found in a local tree.
The snake was recovered and placed in the care of the Bairbre O'Malley Veterinary Hospital in Bray, Co Wicklow.
A call was put out on social media to reunite the distinctive reptile with its owner, but no one has come forward to claim it.
Veterinary nurse Leonie Sunderland said the "fabulous" snake was in "great condition" and all the signs are that it is healthy.
However, she is worried that it may have been abandoned.
"What he was doing up a tree in Ballybrack, we're not sure," she said.
"Given that we haven't heard anything from any worried owner, he may also have been just left there."
Ms Sunderland said she will be seeking to set the snake up with a caring new owner if it is not claimed soon.
