Maureen Hunt (49) from Preston in England: The tourist believes such a move could benefit Dublin.
"I think it could be a good idea. It probably would benefit Dublin; they'd want to see it here in Dublin, wouldn't they? But they should definitely keep her in Dublin. She belongs where she is."
Allan Gaskell (53) from Preston: Maureen's partner says she would be missed.
"Every time we come over we always go down Grafton Street. To me, Molly Malone is synonymous with Grafton Street. We'd definitely miss her if she was gone."
Sean Costello, Harold's Cross: "I come here every so often. I would miss her, but to me it's kind of okay," the 19-year-old said.
"There's a brotherhood between the Australians and the Irish at the moment. I think actually moving one of our monuments to another country for a few weeks could be good craic. I wouldn't want Molly to be away from here for too long, though."
