Shoppers go for Irish
THE MAJORITY of consumers have ranked buying Irish or local products as a priority in their weekly shop. A total of 72pc of town dwellers in Ireland say that they are willing to pay more for good locally sourced products.
A new survey from UTV Radio Solutions and iReach Market Research found that three quarters of respondents said they have less disposable income than this time last year.
Three fifths said they have been personally affected by emigration, either of close friends, family members or partners.
