Shop footfall here down

FOOTFALL in Irish shops fell back by another 1.7pc compared to the same quarter last year.

Northern Ireland's shops, however, appear to be weathering the storm and the number of shoppers passing through the doors increased by 0.6pc. The latest figures from the Experian National Footfall Index shows that year on year, footfall in the South fell by 1.9pc in July, 2.6pc in August, and 0.8pc in September.
