Ryanair tax battle

Ryanair has made another appeal to the Government to scrap the €3 travel tax.

The move comes after the World Economic Forum's Transport and Tourism Competitiveness Report ranked Ireland in the bottom half in an aviation charges competitiveness study.

Passenger numbers at Irish airports fell from 30 million in 2007 to 22.8 million last year.
