RYANAIR said that more business customers are choosing their service on short haul flights.
Corporate customers make up 22pc of their passengers, according to CEO Michael O'Leary.
High frequency, low costs and reserved seating which was introduced in January 2012 appeal to business customers, he added.
Several low-cost carriers have followed the example and refined their no-frills models including EasyJet, BA, Deutsche Lufthansa and Air France-KLM.
Mr O'Leary said: "There won't be an opportunity for people, when the economy recovers, to go back to flying these kind of short-haul airlines with their high fares and fuel surcharges, because I don't think the services will be there."
