'I'm a football manager... get me out of here.'

Roy Keane has been approached by the producers behind the I'm a Celebrity and Celebrity Big Brother reality shows.

And the sharp-tongued assistant manager of Ireland said that he hasn't ruled it out quite yet.

The hit ITV reality show places celebrities in the middle of the Australian jungle - forcing them to compete stomach churning tasks to earn food.

The former Manchester United star told the online magazine Shortlist that has rejected the offer, but he could consider it in the future.

And Roy (43) said that he went so far as to meet with producers behind the team behind the I'm a Celebrity series, presented by Ant and Dec with an aftershow hosted by Laura Whitmore.

"I've had the Celebrity Big Brother offers and the jungle stuff [I'm A Celebrity…]," Roy said.

"I met the jungle people, but I thought, nah, not for me.

"But the more you say no, the more determined they are to get you, so who knows? There's more to life than football."

The former footballer's recently released autobiography proved a huge hit, and has sold more than Brian O'Driscoll's book to date.

The former Irish rugby captain's autobiography The Test hit the shelves last Thursday and sold 3,261 copies in it's first three days.

Roy Keane's controversial tale The Second Half was released on October 9, and managed to shift 10,742 copies in the first three days of it's release.
