Red carpet rolled out for Docklands' hotel
DUBLIN'S northside Docklands has been given a new lease of life with the opening of a luxury hotel.
A host a celebrities including Bono's artist friend Guggi and X Factor's Louis Walsh turned up for the opening night of The Spencer Hotel.
VIP guests, including RTE presenters Aidan Power and Derek Mooney chowed down on Asian canapes and speciality house cocktails.
And boy band mogul Louis Walsh said that he would recommend the venue to his high profile X Factor colleagues.
"It's my new favourite place. It's new, it's modern and it's sexy," he said.
"I'll definitely recommend it to Cheryl, Simon and the rest of the X Factor crew."
Stylist Lisa FitzPatrick and hotelier hubbie Paul welcomed guests while saxophonist Chris Angel played vintage tunes.
The hotel is the newest addition to the Fitzpatrick Lifestyle Hotel group.
"We're delighted with it," Lisa Fitzpatrick said.
"It is a real gem and hopefully it will become something of a landmark down here."
