Rebels claim airport horror
A website linked to Chechen rebels said insurgent leader Doku Umarov has claimed responsibility for last month's bombing at Russia's largest airport.
The Kavkaz Centre website said it received a video in which Umarov says he ordered the January 24 attack at Domodedovo Airport that killed 36 people.
Russian investigators said the bomber was a 20-year-old man from the Caucasus region that includes Chechnya.
Man killed by armed bird
A US man attending a cockfight has died after being stabbed in the leg by a bird that had a knife attached to its own limb.
The Kern County coroner says 35-year-old Jose Luis Ochoa was declared dead at a hospital about two hours after he suffered the injury on January 30.
An autopsy concluded Ochoa died of an accidental "sharp force injury" to his right calf.
Derailed train causes chaos
Part of an Amtrak train derailed in a New York tunnel, forcing the Long Island Rail Road to cancel 16 rush-hour trains.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said two cars of the Amtrak train derailed in Queens on an eastbound track headed to Long Island that Amtrak shares with the LIRR.
There were no injuries.
