Railman drops payout battle
AN Irish Rail worker who claimed he suffered post-traumatic stress disorder because of the way the company conducted an investigation in to an allegation of sexual harassment against him has withdraw his case against the company.
Gary Sheehan, of An Lantain, Cul Ard, Carrigtwohill, Co Cork, had sued the company, claiming he was the subject of alleged bullying, harassment and intimidation after he was informed an allegation of sexual harassment had been made against him by a female colleague.
When the case was called in the High Court before Mr Justice Sean Ryan yesterday, the judge was told that Mr Sheehan wanted to withdraw his action.

A bus on a school field trip has crashed in the Mexican state of Michoacan, killing 11 people, including three children.
State prosecutor's office spokesman Jonathan Arredondo said another 34 people were injured when the bus crashed into a house and then split in half.
He says the brakes may have failed.
Mr Arredondo said the bus was travelling to an animal farm with kindergarten students, parents and teachers aboard when the accident occurred in the small town of San Marcos.
The school had rented the bus for the day.
