PROPERTY prices continued to rise strongly across the country and particularly in Dublin last month.
New figures out this morning show that prices nationwide were up by 16.3pc in the year to October.
For the month, prices were up 2.9pc, the Central Statistics Office said.
In Dublin prices were up 3pc in October, and are now 24pc higher than a year ago.
There was an even strong rise for apartment prices at 27pc in the last year, but statisticians warned that this information is based on a low number of transactions.
Prices are still down 38pc nationwide since the peak in 2007.
It was the 17th month in a row of rises in prices nationwide, looked at on an annual basis.
The price of property outside Dublin was up 2.8pc in October, and are now up 8.3pc in the past year.
