Profit fall for net firm

THE Dublin-based software company, which operates the ask.com website, recorded a 70pc drop in profits from $11.7m (€8.9m) to $3.4m (€2.6m).

The directors said that the decline in revenues over the past 12 months was primarily attributable to the effect of the economic downturn on advertising budgets and the decline in network revenue.
