Production rises fastest in Ireland
IRELAND'S manufacturing grew faster than any other eurozone country last month, new data shows.
The country overtook the Netherlands in the Purchasing Managers' Index league table.
The PMI reading for last month in Ireland was 54.9.
This compared with 54.4 for the Dutch.
Anything above 50 indicates expansion.
Eurozone manufacturing activity accelerated in October as new orders increased for the fourth month in a row.
However, strong competition has left factories with little room to raise prices, a survey by Markit showed, with increasingly robust gains in production countries like Spain, Italy and Ireland.
