Portrane: Surge in home burglaries
A public meeting is being called for following an upsurge in crime in the Rush, Lusk and Portrane areas, in recent weeks.
Last month, a supermarket in Portrane was the scene of a robbery and this came after several houses had just been burgled in the area.
Vans and cars have also been broken into.
In March, housing estates all across Portrane and Donabate were targeted by criminals where both cars and homes were broken into.
Gardai in Swords and Coolock have been alerted to the jump in crime.
Fianna Fail councillor Adrian Henchy has requested a public meeting and a date is currently being decided upon.
