Please help find my missing wife

MYSTERY: Mum disappeared on trip to shop

THE family of a missing wife and mother has made a desperate plea after she vanished on a trip to the shops.

Esra Uyrun, who lives in Collinstown Grove, Clondalkin, Dublin, with her husband Ozgur and their two-year-old son, disappeared over 72 hours ago.

The 38-year-old left home on Wednesday morning and told Ozgur she was going to the shops.

money

Esra, who is originally from Turkey, has not been seen since.

Her distraught husband said the last time he saw his wife was shortly after they woke up at 7am on Wednesday.

"I was going to work and I said, 'can I take the car?' Normally, she takes the car because she is here with our son and they're going outside. She said okay," he told the Herald. However, she asked to use the car for a few minutes so she could get a few things in the shop.

"When she went out she didn't come back," Ozgur said.

He contacted gardai and made a statement, mentioning that they liked to go to Bray sometimes. Gardai checked the Bray area and found their car, a grey Renault Twingo, on the seafront. Ozgur said there was nothing "unusual" about her mood prior to leaving.

No money has been removed from their joint bank account, he added.

A spokesman for the Missing in Ireland Support Service said: "The car has been taken away by gardai for examination.

"The gardai are in the process of organising extensive searches involving a number of different units that they would use for search and rescue."

A mountain rescue team, the Coast Guard, the Garda dog unit and the force's air support unit are all involved.

The registration of Ms Uyrun's car is 08-D-23067. Anyone who may have seen her car from 7am on February 23 is asked to contact gardai at Ronanstown Garda Station.

The helpline spokesman said he was aware that Ms Uyrun was "quite upset" as a result of a bereavement. "That's about as much detail as I'd go into in relation to that but there had been a loss in the family a while back. A parent had passed away," he told the Herald.

"Her family are concerned for her welfare. She has a two and a half year old child," the spokesman said.

Esra has brown/blonde hair, green eyes, is of slim build and has tanned skin. She is 5ft 3in and was wearing black leggings, white Nike runners, a black T-shirt, a black jumper or dark blue denim jacket.
