Pippa 'fought tears' in marathon run
Pippa Middleton has revealed that she fought back tears as she ran her first full marathon for a conservation charity supported by her royal brother-in-law.
She ran the Tusk Trust's Safaricom Marathon in Kenya and finished in three hours 56 minutes.
"I decided that a marathon was a 'life box' that needed ticking and this year was my time," Pippa (below) said, "despite it being one of the toughest in the world, with temperatures rising to more than 30C, at an altitude of 5,550ft and with the possibility of bumping into lions or rhinos."
She said she was hit by "a wave of emotion" at the start of the race and almost stopped half-way.
